Partner with Us
At Happy City Index, our mission is to improve urban quality of life – and we know that achieving this goal takes collaboration. We invite city officials, academic researchers, and public interest organisations to join us in advancing urban wellbeing. By partnering with us, you become part of a global effort to turn data and insights into positive change for communities.
Why Collaborate?
Working together magnifies our impact and ensures that research translates into real-world benefits. Here are some key reasons to collaborate with the Happy City Index:
- Shared purpose: Align with a mission focused on boosting wellbeing and quality of life in cities. As partners, we all strive towards building happier, healthier communities.
- Evidence-based impact: Combine our extensive data with your local expertise to design solutions that are rooted in evidence. Collaboration helps ensure our findings directly inform policies and projects on the ground, leading to measurable improvements for residents.
- Mutual learning: Exchange knowledge, tools and best practices. By working together, partners gain insights from global trends and contribute their own experiences, enriching everyone’s understanding of what works in urban development.
- Collective reach: Join a growing community of cities and experts committed to prioritising wellbeing. Together, we can amplify each other’s efforts and inspire more places to put quality of life at the heart of decision-making.
Ways to Work With Us
Every partnership is unique. We offer several ways to collaborate – and we’re always open to new ideas:
- City partnerships: Work with us to include or further analyse your city in the Index. City officials can collaborate with our team to ensure accurate data, understand their results in depth, and apply insights to local planning. Note: We never charge cities for inclusion in the Index – our goal is to support progress, not profit from it.
- Academic collaboration: Team up on research projects that explore urban happiness. We welcome universities, think tanks and independent researchers to use our data, co-author studies, or develop new metrics together. By pooling expertise, we can deepen understanding of the drivers of city wellbeing and publish findings that benefit all.
- Community initiatives: Partner with public interest organisations to translate insights into action on the ground. We collaborate on community programmes, workshops and advocacy efforts that use our findings to improve everyday life. Whether it’s a local wellbeing campaign or a city-wide project, we provide data and support to help make it a success.
- Knowledge exchange network: Take part in a wider conversation on urban wellbeing. Through events, roundtables and our Happy Cities Alliance, partners connect with peers worldwide to share success stories and learn from each other. Together, we cultivate a network dedicated to innovative ideas and practical solutions for happier cities.
Ultimately, every partnership is a two-way journey. Each collaborator brings valuable perspective, and together we can make a greater difference in how cities support their people. If you share our commitment to happier cities, let’s find a way to work together.
